| | Download and Installation Instructions When you download the Contacts Clippa installation program (Setup.exe), Internet Explorer should give you two options similar to those shown below:

(This screen will not appear if you have elected to turn it off previously. The setup will continue as detailed below).
If you choose Open, there will be a delay (while the program is downloaded and put into a temporary folder and then Internet Explorer will run it showing the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog below).
If you choose Save you will be prompted for a place to save the Setup.exe file.

It doesn't matter where you locate this file. The desktop is a good place because it is easy to find. (The Setup.exe file is not used again after installation and can be deleted.)
Once it has downloaded, you will need to run the setup program. You can do this by going to the folder (or the desktop) where you saved Setup.exe. Double click on the icon to Open the program. The following dialog will appear:

Click the "Setup" button to continue.
The "Welcome to Contacts Clippa Setup." page will appear.

Click the "Next >" button to show the "Contacts Clippa License Agreement" page.

If you accept the terms of the agreement click on the checkbox and then click the "Next >" button. The "Contacts Clippa Configuration" page will appear.

On the page there is a drop-down list of contacts managers that you may have installed on your PC. This allows contacts from the Internet telephone directory to be passed to the contact manager chosen here.
Choose one from the list, and click the "Next >" button. You will then see the "Contacts Clippa Installation Directory" page.

If you want to change the installation directory, click the "Browse..." button, otherwise the installation will default to "C:\Program Files\Contacts Clippa\".
Click the "Next >" button and the installation will begin.
When the files are installed, the "Contacts Clippa Installation Complete" page will appear.

Click on the "Finish" button to complete the setup process.
If the installation has been successful, Internet Explorer will show an additional item when you right-mouse click on a piece of text on a web page. A new option: "Contacts Clippa..." will have been added to the pop-up menu. (You can test this on any web page to confirm that it has installed successfully.) | |
To test Contacts Clippa properly, you can go to your favourite Internet directory, (eg: SuperPages) search for a person or business, and then right-mouse click on the name of the person or business that is displayed on the page.
Select "Contacts Clippa..." from the pop-up menu, and your contact manager should appear with the contact details filled in.
This installation process should have also added a program group to the Windows start menu | Program Files called "Contacts Clippa".

Under that group there are a number of links: | | Configuration | To change the contact manager Contacts Clippa works with. | | | Feature Requests and Problems | To send feedback to us. | | | Registration | To license Contacts Clippa to go beyond the 7 day trial. | | | Uninstall | To remove Contacts Clippa from your PC. | | | User Guide | Help and hints. |
